1/16 T-17Staghound (Build)

After getting my Heng Long Truck I decided to convert it to a Staghound-

Hull printed in two parts -

More after the jump

Glued together-

With the top on-

Turret-
Gun Mount-

Mudguards and view ports added-

When working on the axles I realised that in my rush to get this thing started I'd printed out the hull without working out how the axle fits to the hull.

Anyway, no problem  just print out the new bits for a quick chop and swap.

Printed out the rear axle with the metal upgrade drive shafts-

More detail to the turret-

It's all starting to come together-

Got me some new wheels. The tyres are printed in flexible resin. They're a little bit too solid but I'm kind of chuffed for my first attempt-

More detail-

Motors and drive shafts fitted-
Stuck with the stock HL electronics for testing-

Ready for painting-

The on/off switch is under the MG'rs hatch.

Undercoat-

Base paint with shading-

Painted the tyres and tools-

Stars added-

Stars painted over (by the crew)-

A bit of weathering-

Decided to add some mud-

More mud-

  1. Hi, may I ask where you obtain your new tyres, I’m working on a diamond T 980 and I’m looking for 1/16 military bar tyres
